Psychosis

Psychosis is a sort of condition where somebody is completely crazy. It's usually used for criminals and as a diagnosis (another cool word) by doctors.

Excuse me?

Criminals are RARELY diagnosed as psychotic when it comes to their criminal activities. You're confusing "psychopathy" with "psychosis." Psychosis, or a psychotic disorder is diagnosed when hallucinations, delusions and thought disorder are present, e.g. schizophrenia; psychopathy is a specific personality disorder that is usually labelled an equivalant to or a sub-diagnosis of Antisocial Personality Disorder clinically and people with this disorder are grandiose, lack empathy, impulsive, promiscuous, lie pathologically, abuse animals or have abused them in the past and often have criminal records due to the nature of the disorder.

A major difference between the two is that people with psychosis are detached from reality and are often not fully aware of what is going on around them due to an inability to distinguish the outer reality from their own inner world, hence if they EVER commit a criminal act, which is rather rare, they may be somewhat excused as they were not fully in control of themselves, whereas psychopaths/sociopaths are more likely fully grounded in what they're doing and will rationalise, deny or project their bad behaviour onto others or put a spin on it to suit their own purposes, despite knowing exactly what they were doing at the time.

It is possible for somebody to be psychotic and a criminal as it is with anything else, but like I said, it's very rare. In fact, due to the STIGMA that comes with being labelled "psychotic", or "psycho" or "crazy"... they're usually the ones getting hurt.

Please, I think many would appreciate it if you get your facts straight. Since you have branded psychotics as "completely crazy criminals" I am going to brand you as an "utterly stupid ignoramus." Do a bit of research before further demonising and stigmatising perfectly innocent people who are having a hard enough time handling society's damnation and bullshit as it is in the future.

Amen!

Amen!
